Members of
the Appellate Division Attorney for the Child (“AFC”) Panels are eligible for a
waiver of the registration fee for the 2012 Committee
on Children and the Law Annual Meeting program. A limited number of waivers
are also available on a first-come, first-served basis for assigned counsel for
adult Family Court or Family Court appeals who are not
currently on an AFC panel. Waivers for
the program are limited to twenty-five (25).
If you are requesting a fee waiver, please complete this form and attach
it to your completed Annual Meeting registration form. Please note that you
cannot register online if you will be using a waiver for this program. Fax or
mail both forms to the following address:
NYSBA Annual Meeting Registrar FAX: 1-866-680-0946
Attn: Catheryn
Teeter – Children & the Law Fee Waiver TEL: 518-487-5621
Completed waivers must be received
and processed by January 9, 2012
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please understand that the cost of your attendance is borne by the
Committee on Children and the Law’s budget.
If a panel member registers but does not attend, the Committee is still
charged for the cost. Please be sure, before you register, that you
are definitely planning to attend.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR NYSBA NONMEMBERS: If you are not a NYSBA member, only the $85 program fee
is waived -- not the $200 nonmember registration fee. You may be able to join at a reduced rate or even zero
dues through the NYSBA Dues Waiver Program, particularly if you work in a public service or legal service setting.
